Outright first time set foot in Bandung Underground scene in 2004. Sitting in the same school, Ryan, Irvan, and Bharata, agreed to form a band which they named Outright. Ryan then took her neighbor, Ricky, to fill vocals slot.
Initially they only brought the songs of the band Rancid tough sort, Agnostic Front, Biohazard, or Hatebreed. The early songs they created a lot of European influenced hardcore band like Rykers or Backfire. However, they draw on the influence of the big bands became more slow, heavy with the touch tones groove. Outright also called hardcore that they play as a super groove power chords.
It took four years for Outright to complete the construction material into a full album. In 2008, they released Hardcore Strikes Back under Crossover Records label. The album catapulted the name of Outright so had plenty of opportunities to explore a wider area than Bandung Underground scene. In fact they also have a good chance biting into an international stage with many bands kinds of Terror, Carpathian, Have Heart, Ruiner, First Blood. Hardcore Album Strikes Back also distributed in some European countries such as Sweden, France, and the Netherlands. However, after six years running, Ricky decided to pull out of Outright with very personal reasons. Hardy then came on for Ricky, until now.
